Elk Lake Triathlon A Continued Success The Elk Lake Triathlon was also known as the Sri Chinmoy Self-Transcendence Triathlon continues its success in the hands of Dynamic Race Events. However, this year Dynamic Race Events continued the legacy of the iconic triathlon that is filled with a rich history that stretches back to 1980. For 38 years this amazing race has been the incubator for many triathlon dreams made in Victoria BC. We are lucky to have this race continue to welcome new athletes as well as bring local friends back together. This highly recommended race is the perfect setting for beginners of all ages. In fact, this race also has relay participants so people can sample the experience of a well put together triathlon feels like. Additionally, the cost is low making it affordable for everyone. Pro athletes from around the world come to Victoria BC to participate and experience the beautiful surroundings. With this in mind, Victoria BC is the #1 summer destination in the late summer months. A race like gives the ability to take in a race venue but as well enjoy the many beautiful tourist options Vancouver Island has to offer. TriNerds Victoria BC Chapter uses this triathlon as a stepping stone for entry-level athletes to get their feet wet in racing conditions. To emphasize, this race is gentle to beginners including youth giving the new athlete the ability to find comfort and excitement in a race environment.
